Voice & Violin Songbook
Magdalene Minnaar (soprano), Zanta Hofmeyr (violin), Peter Cartwright (piano)

Launching on Friday 4 June

Brooklyn Theatre TV is once again proud to present a stylish online concert featuring
3 Top Class South-African Musicians - Magdalene Minnaar (soprano) and Zanta Hofmeyr (violin) accompanied by Peter Cartwright (piano) at the Pretoria Art Museum.

Performing a charming selection of music, some original and some adapted for this interesting combination.

Two favourite operatic duets, namely the Flower Duet from Lakme (Delibes) and the Barcarolle from Tales of Hoffmann for voice and violin, present a whole new take on this lovely music.

From then on, the listener is taken on a musical sojourn from the Baroque era - Bach & Caccini,
Classical era - Mozart and a generous helping of gorgeous Romantic fare with some Chopin, Richard Strauss & Kreisler.

This is a concert of soothing music for those in need of gentle repose.
