Pipe Organ Sublime
a recital by
Isabelle van Rensburg

Organ - Universiteitsoord Dutch Reformed Church
launching on
Artmusic.TV - 1 April 2022

Lovers of pipe organ music will find this a concert to be treasured.
Dr. van Rensburg presents us with a varied and interesting programme
of hugely accessible romantic and contemporary repertoire.

Dr. Van Rensburg’s mentor was Prof. Wim Viljoen with whom she studied since 2004 until she obtained a DMus from the UP in 2021. During this period she was the first prize winner of national competitions including the ATKV Muziq and the UNISA Music Scholarship apart from numerous additional bursaries.

For this recording she performs on the organ at Universiteitsoord Dutch Reformed Church in Hillcrest, Pretoria. It is the flagship of instruments built by South African Organ Builders. This organ has 41 registers and 3022 pipes, and is positioned in a space with splendid acoustics.
